What data we collect

Through the quote quiz and contact form, we collect:

• Your name
• Your postcode
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Property type, ownership status, current heating, and timeframe (from the quiz)
• The product you are interested in
• The page you submitted from (landing page)
• The domain you visited (source domain)

Lawful basis

We process your personal data under the lawful basis of legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — to contact you about the products you have expressed interest in. You give explicit consent by ticking the consent checkbox on the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@scottishenergyefficiency.co.uk or calling 0141 230 0198.

How we use your data

Your data is used to:

• Contact you about your enquiry and arrange a no-obligation survey
• Provide a quote for solar panels, battery storage, or heat pumps
• Forward your enquiry to one of our MCS-certified installation partners for the purpose of carrying out the survey and installation
• Record the enquiry in our internal systems for follow-up and aftercare

Data sharing

We share your data with the MCS-certified installation partner handling your enquiry so they can carry out the survey and installation. We also use Zapier to transmit form data to our internal systems. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Retention

We retain enquiry data for 24 months from the date of submission. If you proceed with an installation, we retain your data for as long as needed to support your installation and aftercare, plus 6 years. If you do not proceed, your data is deleted after 24 months. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
