Quick answer
Adding a battery lets you store daytime solar and use it in the evening, rather than exporting the surplus, and on a suitable tariff it can charge on cheaper overnight electricity. Whether it suits your home depends on your usage and tariff. Your survey and written, no-obligation quote confirm it. We install through MCS-certified partners.

Should I get a battery with my solar panels?
It depends on your home. Without a battery, you export the solar you cannot use at the time. With a battery, you store that energy and import less at peak times, and on a suitable tariff you can also charge on cheaper overnight electricity (grid arbitrage). A survey shows whether it makes sense for your home.

With a battery you use more of your own solar electricity in the evening, and on a suitable tariff you can charge on cheaper off-peak power. How much more depends on your home, which we model at survey. The battery is priced at survey and confirmed on your written quote.
Charging your battery on cheaper overnight electricity and using that stored electricity during peak hours. It needs a tariff with a peak/off-peak spread, and works alongside storing solar.
Technically possible but not practical for most Scottish homes. A well-sized system can cover much of your daily use, but full off-grid requires oversized panels, multiple batteries, and a backup generator for winter.
